Clear your sight,
Breathe it in,
Feel the light
Upon your skin.
Leave the darkness far behind,
Leave the shadows that cloud your mind.
Shed that silvery armoured suit,
Let your skin feel pain,
take root
within the soil
which used to be
a prison of stones,
but set you free.
Feel the salt, feel the sand
Between your toes, all whilst your hands
Clasp the withering branches above,
Desperately trying to find my love.
As time resets,
an hourglass turns.
As grains slip through,
a fire burns
within your heart,
it keeps us warm
and gives us light
beneath the storm.
It’s time for you to leave those nights,
It’s time for you to touch the light
of distant worlds, seas and shores;
And walk right through those open doors.
